Pre-Treatment
Avoid Blood Thinners: Avoid medications and supplements that thin the blood, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E, for about a week before the treatment to minimize the risk of bruising and bleeding.
Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before the procedure, as alcohol can increase the likelihood of bruising.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the treatment to keep your skin hydrated and promote optimal healing.
Discuss Medications: Inform your DeluxeBar Provider about any medications you’re taking,
including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and supplements.
Skincare Products: Follow any specific pre-treatment skincare instructions provided by your DeluxeBar Provider, which may include avoiding certain products or treatments.
Post-Treatment
Avoid Touching the Treated Area: Refrain from touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the
treated area for at least 24 hours to minimize the risk of spreading the toxin to unintended
areas.
Remain Upright: Avoid lying down or bending over for 4 hours after the treatment to prevent
the Botox from spreading to unintended areas.
Apply Cold Compresses: If there is swelling or bruising, you can apply cold compresses to the
area intermittently for the first 24 hours post-treatment to reduce inflammation.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that may increase blood flow to the face for 24 hours after the treatment.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Limit sun exposure and use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect
the treated area from UV damage.
Follow-Up Care: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with your DeluxeBar Provider to
monitor your progress and address any concerns.
Be Patient: Results from Neurotoxin injections typically become apparent within a few days to a
week after the treatment and may last for several months. Full results may take up to two weeks
to develop.
