Pre & Post Treatment Instructions
Pre-Treatment
To minimize the risk of bruising, swelling, or discomfort:
- Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment (unless prescribed by your doctor).
- Stop using active skincare products like retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliants for 2–3 days prior.
- Come with clean, makeup-free skin on the day of treatment.
- Let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of severe allergies or skin infections.
- Hydrate! Well-hydrated skin supports the best possible outcome.
Post-Treatment
Expect a refreshed, radiant look—just give your skin a little time to settle.
The First 24–48 Hours:
- Mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection site are normal and typically subside quickly.
- Avoid makeup for the first 24 hours.
- Skip alcohol, heavy exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24–48 hours.
- Do not touch, press, or massage the area.
- Avoid facials, microneedling, lasers, or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks.
Ongoing:
- Stay hydrated—SkinVive works by enhancing your skin’s moisture levels from within.
- Avoid extended sun exposure and always use broad-spectrum SPF.
- Expect to see visible glow and hydration improvements within 1–2 weeks, with full results around 4 weeks.
- Results can last up to 6 months with minimal maintenance.
